David Anderson
Founder, Technical Advisor
David founded Important Media after running its predecessor Green Options media, in 2010. David’s primary responsibilities are facilitating the technical side of advertising programs, financial analysis and payroll, Accounts Receivable/Payable, and as Important Media’s resident wisecracker.
Find David on the frisbee field more often than not, crawling the bars along Las Vegas’s seedy downtown underbelly, and on Twitter, where his wisecracks and witty observations on life, media, and technology run rampant.

Scott Cooney
Publisher
Scott founded Sustainable Enterprises Media in 2010, and merged the company with Important Media in 2012. Scott’s an adjunct Professor of Sustainability in the MBA program at the University of Hawaii, the developer of the sustainability board game GBO Hawaii, and author of Build a Green Small Business (McGraw-Hill). Scott is the primary business development, project manager, and Human Resource manager at Important Media, selling sponsorships and programs to help support the writing and editing staff.
Find Scott surfing the south shore of Oahu, biking the unbelievably unsafe roads of Honolulu, eating vegan chicken wings in Chinatown, and on Twitter, where his rants about David’s rants run rampant. Read Scott’s writings on Inspired Economist.

Dan Heff
IT Manager
Dan is Important Media’s primary IT guy. Dan handles our email account servers, shared workspaces, and random freakouts that the interwebs tend to have from time to time. Dan works magic in WordPress and contributes to the smooth functioning of Important Media’s primary news and information outlets. As with most IT guys, it’s kind of like being the kicker. People generally don’t think about it unless the game is on the line and we need a 43 yard field goal to win the game. Dan solidly and consistently comes through when needed, and that’s exactly what you want in an IT guy.
Find Dan biking the California coast, taste testing the finest microbrews on the west coast, and blogging about the hypocrisy of the Republican Party at Red, Green and Blue.

Becky Striepe
Site Director, Eat, Drink, Better and Crafting a Green World
Becky is a freelance writer and vegan crafter living in Atlanta, Georgia and works as site director at Crafting a Green World and Eat Drink Better here at Important Media. Her life’s mission is to make green crafting and vegan food accessible to everyone!
Becky believes in the power of little changes: using cloth napkins instead of paper, a reusable bag instead of a plastic one, and eating vegan, even if you’re just starting with a few meatless meals each week. Things like this add up to make a big impact, and she hopes that her sites will help inspire you. You can also find green crafts and vegan recipes on Becky’s personal site, Glue and Glitter.
